What is Bath∙ologie?

       I recently found the most amazing company! I found a Bath∙ologist semi close to me (she is in the next state over from me) and had to learn more.  So what is Bath∙ologie? It's a fairly new Direct Sales Company and I am literally the only Bath∙ologist in my entire state! So I have lots of room to grow my business and you may find that there aren't Bath∙ologist in your area yet or very few.

             The first question that came to my mind was "How can you do a Facebook Party with Bath∙ologie?" So it's super fun and easy!  Your friends that RSVP to the online event will fill out a 6 question scent profile and then I will help them select some scent combinations based on their answers/scent preferences and then I just mail them out as many scent samples as they would like before the actual online event.  It's kind of like those fragrance samples in a magazine that are applied straight to the page. I will apply their scent combinations to each label and seal each combination individually.

Cute Towel Storage Solution!

    If you are anything like me, you have little ones and maybe some fur babies that like to pull your dish towels down from the handle of the fridge or the oven or even the cabinet door under the sink and play with it.  I am always finding my dish towel on the floor.  So I went to the craft store and bought this cute little basket on sale for $4.19 at Michael's Craft Store and got out my glue gun and some ribbon.  I just wrapped the ribbon around and glued it as you can see below and then tied both sides and put a Monkey hook (formerly known as Hercules hooks)  in the wall so there is only a tiny hole in my wall. No hammer or drill required! Everything is done in less than 10 min! I hung mine in my pantry but it is cute enough to hang anywhere! Would also be a great solution for hand towels in the bathroom or a mudroom!

Supplies:

Glue Gun and glue stick

Monkey hook or whatever you want to hang it with

Ribbon

Red White and Blue Mason jars

   I originally saw this craft online through a magazine and thought I would give it a try. It was fairly easy and quick to do.  The original ones that I saw were painted on with a paint brush but I used spray paint instead and then roughed it up with sand paper. You can scuff it up as little or as much as you want to give it a distressed look.

Step 1: Apply tiny star stickers to the jars and make sure they are on good.

Step 2: Paint all of the jars white and allow to dry.

Step 3: Add larger star stickers to the largest jar and paint the entire jar blue and allow to dry.

Step 4:  Tape off the smaller jars for red stripes with blue painters tape.

Step 5: Paint the smaller jars red and allow to dry.

Step 6: Paint the lids any combination of red, white or blue and allow to dry.

Step 7: Peel off star stickers and painters tape

Step 8:  Take some sand paper and scuff up the jars and lids to give a distressed look

Step 9: Add battery operated candles and enjoy!

Supplies:
sanding sponge or sand paper ( I used 80 grit sanding sponge)
blue painters tape
1 Quart sized Mason jar
2 pint sized Mason jars
Red, white and blue paint (I just used regular spray paint that contains a primer in it)
3 battery operated candles
various sizes of star stickers

I hope you enjoy this craft as much as I have! They are cute enough to keep up all year long or just for 4th of July and would look great for an outdoor party!

Dachshund craft

   I wanted to share this cute craft that I recently did for my Dachshund, Brandy.  I went online and found an outline of a Dachshund, printed it out on heavy paper, cut it out and then traced it onto some really cute black and white polka dot paper and then used some really cute green scrap booking paper as the background.  I used Paint Shop Pro to add text to the green scrap booking paper and then cut it to fit the frame.  I found a bunch of really cute fonts to add to my collection of fonts and they have some really cute chalkboard fonts for free! I also used a heart punch and some red glitter scrap booking paper and glued the Dachshund and hearts onto the green background.  This was so easy to do and so cute!  The one tip that I have is to make sure you use the size of the frame as your guide. My printer has an option to print based on frame size and that made this so easy when printing the font onto the paper. Glowing rose craft instructions coming soon!!

The Font I used is from http://www.dafont.com/handwriting-draft.font and they also have a bunch of free cute chalkboard fonts!

This is the heart punch that I used.  It is called Martha Stewart's Heartbeat punch and I picked mine up at Michael's along with the glitter red scrapbook paper I used for the hearts.

Umbrella Craft

 




   

   
Supplies:

  Umbrella (was on sale at Target)
  Flowers (Michael's Craft Store)
  Pink Wire Ribbon (Michael's Craft Store)

Tips:

   I tied the ribbon towards the bottom and then took a little bit of newspaper and shoved it inside the umbrella in the front to keep it semi open and the ribbon towards the bottom keeps it semi closed.


   Don't put the flowers in until the umbrella is hanging on the door and arrange them all inside the front part of the umbrella so the back lays flush against the door.

           My husband, our 2 girls and myself all loaded up in the car and ran to Michael's and picked up the supplies to make this and brighten up our front door.  I received a 50% off of one item coupon in the mail from Michael's and also used a 25% off my entire purchase coupon from their phone app.  I highly recommend getting the Michael's craft store phone app because each month they give you coupons and you just have the cashier scan the coupon right off of your phone!   It is super cute and so easy! I was hoping to get a sky blue color of the flowers but they didn't have any. I recommend the sky blue if your store has them.    I saw this craft on www.pinterest.com originally. Just type in umbrella wreath and a bunch of variations of this craft will pop up.   I'm not crazy about the color of my front door but we are a military family living in base housing so it is what it is ;).  Maybe for Easter or Spring I will tackle the front door and cover it in something.

Framed Butterfly Craft

   

     I saw this on another blog and loved it so I decided to make my daughter some for her 7th birthday that is coming up.  It's so simple. 

What You Need:
    picture frame
    glue
    butterfly punch ( I used Martha Stewart's from the craft store)
    Cute scrap booking paper
   
So I took two frames, took the glass out, turned the paper around to the white side, cut out an inner frame. I used purple with polka dots for one frame and plain light pink for the other frame just to switch it up. Then I picked out the scrap booking papers I wanted to use for the butterflies and punched them out, bent the wings a little and glued them onto the paper. That's it! It was quick, easy and pretty inexpensive. You can use any frame you want. Maybe you have some old frames laying around that you can repaint to whatever color you want.
